AFL Members are disgusted that Medallion Club members are onselling their Grand Final tickets in what can only be described as 'legalised scalping'.  Newspaper adverstisements and online auction sites show hundreds of Medallion Club seats in the AFL Members Reserve for sale at prices anywhere from $250 - $1000.

"AFL Members wait many years on Restricted list to get a chance of a Grand Final ticket", said AFL Members Association spokesman Mike O'Brien, "Yet the Medallion Members, who last year were handed 5000 seats our reserve, are now free to flog them off to the highest bidder."

Unlike ordinary AFL members - who risk having their membership card instantly cancelled if they loan it to someone else - a Medallion Club ticket is fully transferable.  "But if they don't want to go", said Mr O'Brien, "they should give back their seats to ordinary members."

The AFL Members Association seeks to have Medallion Club seating moved out of the AFL Members Reserve at the MCG and the seats restored to AFL Members.
