The State Government of Victoria has recognised the AFL Members Association, which was recently formed to promote, represent and restore the rights of AFL Members.

The Hon. Justin Madden, Minister for Sport and Recreation, names the AFLMA as the appropriate lobbying body to represent members who have concerns about how the AFL is looking after membership entitlements, including issues such as Grand Final ticketing.  In his response to letters from AFL members, the minister also provides contact details for the AFLMA.

"As a President of the AFL Players Association Justin Madden fought a long battle to have the voice of the players heard," said Mr Stephen Teleki, AFLMA Media Spokesman, "As the Sports Minister, we welcome his recognition of our own association, which provides AFL Members with a similar unified voice to express our concerns and interests to the AFL Commission."
